Sprint Engages Buffett and Malone

Sprint Chairman Masayoshi Son is said to be in talks with Liberty Broadband Corporation’s John Malone and Berkshire Hathaway’s Warren Buffett about a deal, according to a report from the Wall Street Journal last Friday.
The “Oracle of Omaha” and the cable mogul’s potential investment in Sprint positively impacted the carrier’s shares, which increased by 4 percent on Friday after the Wall Street Journal published this report.
Son met the two businessman separately in Sun Valley, Idaho at an annual gathering of CEO’s, the report said. It is said that the discussion is still in early stages and no agreement has been reached.
