WeWork, Yardi debut WeWork Workplace

Helps businesses navigate hybrid, remote work models

Flexible office space provider WeWork and real estate software provider Yardi recently debuted WeWork Workplace, a space management solution. WeWork Workplace will give companies a universal platform that allows for inventory management across office spaces, enhanced employee experiences and space optimization through insights and analytics.

The rise of remote and hybrid work models has generated new opportunities for employers and employees alike to fundamentally rethink the office and how they engage with it. The WeWork Workplace solution unites space, asset and people management capabilities. It also removes the guesswork from designing a strategic work model by providing actionable data to inform decision making in real time. In turn, the software’s goal is to help employers decrease their real estate costs and empower workers to engage with office spaces they select more purposefully and create more meaningful physical connections.

WeWork Workplace said it is the only product in the market that can combine all space types (privately leased/owned, WeWork and WeWork shared/affiliate) within a single experience. Additionally, companies that may need overflow space will have the option to enable access to WeWork and WeWork-affiliated locations for their employees globally.

How WeWork Workplace functions

WeWork envisions its latest innovation as a one-stop-shop solution. It will combine the capabilities needed in one place to help, build, manage and evolve any office space strategy, according to the company. WeWork Workplace aims to help businesses embrace the employee experience across an entire portfolio with built-in, collaboration-focused features like interactive floor maps, team booking capabilities, overflow booking automation, visitor management, company announcements and calendar integration. The company’s hope is these features will make engagement with the office more intentional and impactful.

Additionally, WeWork hopes the solution will manage and optimize all spaces regardless of the asset type, or where its located. With universal portfolio management, office space strategies can be focused on utilization. This includes creating user groups, spatial zones and navigate capacity and overflow management.

WeWork Workplace has also been designed to future-proof real estate strategies through actionable insights. Users will be able to make decisions confidently as they’ll have access to more accurate data. They can look at daily and building-level data as well as trends over time like booking-to-occupancy ratios. The solution also lets users sort information by property type.
