EnGenius Launches First of is Kind Access Point for Innovative SMBs

Voice and data solutions provider EnGenius Technologies, Inc. announced today it launched the industry’s first 802.11ax 2×2 access point, EWS357AP. The most recent addition to the EnGenius product line will bring next-generation, cutting edge features within the reach of forward thinking small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs). According to the company, early adopters will no longer have to wait to take advantage of enterprise-level features. Additonally, the EWS357AP will assist SMBs in taking advantage of some of the most sophisticated wireless technology in the world.
EnGenius’ 2×2 11ax access point will meet SMBs’ Wi-Fi connectivity demands by enabling advancements within a network without demanding significant restructuring, supporting existing and future device and application needs, being compatible with legacy Wi-Fi, reenergizing the capacity and reach of the 2.4. GHz and 5 GHz frequencies and more. The device’s low-profile 2×2 access point also includes mass configurations of access points, so businesses and commercial real estate owners can easily install “future proof” devices into their current networks.
SMBs that use the EWS357AP can take advantage of the 11ax technology that enables more efficient channel use, reduces latency between AP and client devices. Some of its groundbreaking features include a power-saving target wake time, MU-MIMO uplink and downlink and orthogonal frequency division multiple access (OFDMA) for more efficient channel use.
“What we’re doing is taking a Wi-Fi solution that was really developed and designed to address the demands for capacity on enterprise networks, while optimizing wireless performance for more devices and more users,” EnGenius product line manager Bryan Slayman told Connected Real Estate Magazine. “As we’ve moved through time within EnGenious and our customer base, think that keeps coming up is, ‘How many devices can you support?’ That’s been something we’ve been dealing with for some time now. So we have this new technology, Wi-Fi 6, to help out in these scenarios.”
For commercial real estate owners, the EWS357AP 2×2 antenna design will fulfill the Wi-Fi connecivity demands of their SMB tenants. Their tenants who rely on tablets, smartphones and laptops to operate their businesses can expect to get maxium performance out of this access point. As a bonus for commercial real estate owners, they can provide tenants with enhanced connectivity without significantly restructing their network.
“The end user experience will be more fluent, faster and improved,” Slayman said. “A majority of that improvement is coming down to the hardware of the device itself. Users are going to maximize on the capacity and efficiency of clients and the number of clients they can add. You can add 25% more clients within a network.”
The EWS357AP features 11ax technology, which deepens and expands Wi-Fi capabilities as well as fortifies SMBs’ wireless networks. The company’s product launch comes at an ideal time as this next generation of Wi-Fi is no longer just about speeds, but also stronger, steadier and more efficient wireless connections.
“Here at EnGenius, we believe that the newest Wi-Fi technology must be accessible to small and medium-sized organizations too instead of just enterprises,” MC Leo, general manager at EnGenius Technologies said in a statment. “The 2×2 EWS357AP access point puts the power of 11ax in reach of early adopters from the SMB space.”
