CBRE Co-Working Space Hana Joins the Fray

Skepticism may continue to circle around co-working company WeWork’s true value, but confidence in the co-working industry as a whole remains strong as proven by CBRE’s recent launch of co-working space, Hana.

Hana is a subsidiary of the commercial real estate and investment firm and announced last week it officially opened its first co-working flagship location, Hana PwC Tower at Park District in Dallas. The location offers flexible office leasing for large enterprises, mid-sized companies and startups. More Hana locations are planned to open in the United States and the United Kingdom in 2019 and beyond.

The Hana concept was announced last year and will help property owners meet tenants’ growing demand for flexible office space solutions. Hana offers a range of partnership solutions for real estate investors that include Hana designing, building and operating the facilities and services.

“We are thrilled to open our first-ever location, and couldn’t be happier to work with MetLife Investment Management and Trammell Crow to bring our vision to life,” Hana CEO Andrew Kupiec said in a release. “Dallas is one of the country’s highest growth cities, and we’re looking forward to providing both building owners as well as companies with a new and flexible workspace to take advantage of this growth. This location will serve not only as a great new option for Dallas, but as a showpiece space we plan to make available in key markets around the world.”

Hana at Park District occupies two and half floors that total more than 67,000 square feet at PwC Tower. The tower itself comprises more than 500,000 square feet of Class A office space and amenities. PwC Tower is also part of a two-tower mixed-use development—Park District, which has more than 900,000 square feet of office space, restaurants and luxury residences. Park District resides near the heart of downtown Dallas, the Arts District, Uptown and Klyde Warren Park.

Hana’s core offering is Hana Team, which provides private office suites that meet the needs of high growth organizations and large corporations that use office space. Hana Team combines the benefits of flexible office space with the amenities, technology, creative space design and control over office culture and branding that sophisticated companies require.

Each Hana unit also features two additional integral offerings—Hana Meet and Hana Share. Hana Meet provides conference rom and event space that can be reserved on an hourly, daily or weekly basis. Meanwhile, Hana Share provides the traditional co-working space where people share services, amenities and technology in a communal setting.

“The team at Hana has developed a first-rate space that is in high demand as more and more companies experience its layout, design, amenities and service,” Kurt Day, Managing Director with MetLife Investment Management said in a release. “We’re excited to have Hana at Park District and think they are a great fit for the project.”
