JMA Wireless recently announced that it appointed Bill Plummer as Senior Vice President, Communications and External Affairs. Since February Plummer had been consulting with JMA, which has created an advanced software-based 5G platform, and now brings more than two decades of industry experience to the company. He will oversee JMA’s communications, government relations and marketing efforts.
“Bill is one of those rare communicators who truly understands the business,” JMA CEO John Mezzalingua said in a statement. “His addition to the JMA leadership team reflects our growing market and brand presence as we continue to lead the private wireless revolution with our unique software-based technology.”
Plummer led government relations for Smartmatic prior to joining JMA. He also led the U.S external affairs function development at Huawei Technologies. Plummer’s other prior industry experience includes working at Nokia in several executive positions, including the head of North American External Affairs and Go-to-Market Chief for the Americas. He will join a company in JMA that designs, codes and manufactures its 5G platform in the U.S. JMA’s mission is to use its technology, including its XRAN software solution, to bring in more innovation and connectivity for businesses, workers and customers.
“JMA is the future,” Plummer said in a statement. “On the cutting edge of innovation that will help make 5G a reality for carriers, enterprises, and government customers, JMA is bringing next-generation wireless technology leadership back to the U.S. I am delighted to be joining this talented and dynamic team.”
